What is a Render?

A render is a computer generated image that looks as close to a picture of a real object as possible. In our case, we're talking about Home Theater Renders. These renders are computer generated images that look very nearly like photographic quality images of a home theater room.

Why would I want a Render?

Our reservation system includes an image of your home theater. This image has seats that are positioned just as the seats are in your room. Your guests may click on any one of the seats to reserve a space for themselves.

Typically, our Room Builder software is used to create this image of your home theater room. The Room Builder creates a 2 Dimensional "flat"image, as if your guests were above your room looking straight down.

We offer you the option of having a 3 Dimensional image created of your home theater room. This render will look very nearly photographic quality and your guests will be able to make reservations by clicking on a 3D image of your seats.

How is a Render Created?

In order to create a render, we will need you to supply us with a blueprint or line drawing that displays the dimensions of your room as well as the measurements of where furniture and other items are located in the room. We also have you send us photographs of your room from various angles. Using these items, one of our render artists will create a 3D render of your home theater room.

The first step in creating a render is to use computer software to create a 3D model of your room. Think of it as a 3D blueprint of your room and all the objects in your room.

The next step is to begin adding colors and textures to all the surfaces of the room (walls, floors, seats, etc...)

Colors and Textures are Added to Render

As textures are added to the walls, seats and floors, the render begins to look like a real photograph.

Textures and Colors are Refined

The final stage is to make sure the lighting in the render "acts" the same as the lighting in the actual room. Shadows and highlights should match. Final touches are placed in the image, such as a movie on the screen and curtains. The final image looks very realistic and your guests will be astonished when they get to reserve their seats by clicking on a 3D image that looks almost identical to your home theater room.
